I've been wanting to make Ava a dress ever since I got my sewing machine for mothers day. I went to Wall mart with Jinny and found the perfect pattern and fabric but talked myself out of buying it because it just seemed like too much work. Michael and I went back to Wall Mart and I showed him the fabric and pattern and he gave me a little bit of encouragement and we bought all the stuff I needed. I had the wrong bobbin for my machine so I decided to go to my moms house to use her machine. My mom is soo great, she helped me read the pattern and guided me through it. We stayed up until 2am working on it, it was a lot of fun. She was so excited that I actually wanted to sew and to help me with it. Thanks mom for showing me the ropes, I love you!
We spent the fourth out on the lake with my family and had a blast! We took the ski boat out to see the fireworks, and went back out to stay the night on the houseboat. We had a lot of fun. The next day we got up early and went wake boarding and skiing. I grew up on the lake and love going out on it. Michael laughs because I get so excited and I turn into a little kid again when I'm out there. I loved being able to play this year, the last few years I haven't been able to because of injures and last year I was pregnant. My dad skied for the first time since his back surgery and did a great job! Ava loved being on the boat and playing in the sand with her cousins.
Michael and I met in September of 2005 thanks to a good friend of ours. We dated for a year and were married in the Sacramento Temple in December of 2006. We now have two little girls keeping us very busy and this blog is pretty much all about them.
